Justin is a three-year varsity letterman in football and baseball at Mountainside High School. He was named to the All-Metro team as a defensive back and 2nd Team All-State as an Athlete for the 2021 season. Justin is a versatile player, playing on both sides of the ball his entire high school career (QB, RB, WR, DB, LB, Safety, Punt Return, Special Teams & holder). He was named the starting quarterback as a sophomore on Mountainside’s first ever varsity team. He led the Mavs to their first wins (3) in their inaugural varsity season (played without Seniors). He was voted the team Offensive MVP in the 2017-18 & 2018-19 seasons and was a key factor in their run to the quarters in the State playoffs in the 2018-19 season. On defense, he starts at Safety and steps in at LB, DB and DE as needed. In his Junior season, he had a team leading 78 solo tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 blocked punt. In the same season, he also threw for 800 yards & 10 touchdowns in 6 games at QB.In the classroom, Justin has maintained over 3.0 GPA. When not on the field or in the classroom, Justin likes traveling with his family and hanging out with his friends. He enjoys golf, snowboarding, wake surfing and any other sport or activity that includes competition or adrenaline. Justin will attend Western Oregon University in the fall and play football for the Wolves.
