BIO: Jaylan is a three-star recruit from Sherwood High School. He was named 1st team All-Conference defensive back for the Pacific Conference in his junior year. He played both sides of the ball for Team Alpha's Elite 7v7 team where he was a team leader and standout player for the second year in a row. Jaylan has a GPA of 3.8. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Jaylan has been playing football since he was five years old. His mom often remarked that despite his helmet being bigger than his body, he was always willing to get in there and make big plays. During those early football days, Jaylan's mom was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, and saw her fight through it with the support of his father and younger sister. Jaylan has remained committed to football and has continued to fight for his mom and work even harder after she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer shortly after his 12th birthday. Football has been an important outlet for Jaylan and he loves the game even more now than he did as a kid and continues to strive to make his family, especially his mom, proud.
