College of San Mateo
Atticus has been an athlete since he was five years old. He counted the days until he could put on a pair of cleats and a soccer uniform. Atticus had been a competitive soccer player for the past 13 years, during his sophomore year in high school he joined the Central Catholic football team and fell in love with playing the sport. Atticus made the difficult decision to take his junior year off from football and focus on his studies, with which he was inducted into the National Honors Society. As COVID put the football season into question Atticus went to work, from weight training to getting out on the field to practice his kicks and punts. He participated in his first kicking showcase through Kicking World in the summer of 2020 and not only won the punting competition, but he was ranked fifth in the nation and 1st in Oregon. He continued to go to showcases like Chris Sailer Kicking where he was ranked 4.5 star kicker, nationally for the 2021 class. In the last game of the 5-1 season of the Rams, Atticus was put in to make his only kick of the season from 33 yards with 11 seconds remaining on the clock to tie the game to make 31-31 vs. Sunset. Atticus came in clutch, tying the game sending them into overtime. Atticus will continue his academic and football pursuits at the College of San Mateo in California as the Bulldog’s kicker.
