Tanner was a three-time varsity letterman for three sports at Sprague High School. As a senior, he earned 1st team all-conference as a guard and an All-State Honorable Mention for offense. He was also named 2nd team all-conference at defensive line. Tanner also excelled in his other two sports, wrestling and baseball. As a wrestler, Tanner was a three-time district finalist and a district champion. He placed 5th in state in 2017. In baseball, Tanner was a 1st Team all-conference selection and was voted team captain by his peers. He holds a 3.91 GPA and has been on the honor roll his full high school career. This past year Tanner has also been working to raise money for a great cause. Each year Sprague high school holds a yearlong fundraising event and pageant to benefit Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Tanner was one of 12 seniors chosen to participate in this year’s Oly Pageant, and has spent the past school year raising money for the event. When not playing sports, or fundraising, Tanner enjoys hanging out with his friends and family. He plans to play football and baseball at Linfield College in the fall.
