NAME: Alex Melson

BIO: Coach Melson will be entering His 10th season coaching for Grant High School. Melson, a graduate from Grant, is entering his second year as head coach after being awarded Portland Interscholastic League Coach of the Year in 2023. Melson is also a Les Schwab Bowl alumni; he competed in the 2008 game as a linebacker. Melson lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Monique Melson and works at Grant High School as a Health and PE teacher. Melson will be coaching the defensive backs on the Willamette Team in this year's game.
