NAME: Damien Merrick

BIO: Coach Merrick is a South Salem native who played collegiately at Western Oregon University. While in college he got an opportunity to begin coaching and never looked back. Merrick has now been coaching for 25 years and has been with Sunset for the past 11. He coached at Beaverton High School for several years before making the move to Sunset. At Sunset, Merrick spent four years as the offensive line coach before becoming head coach. In addition to coaching, he is a strength and conditioning teacher. Merrick resides in Beaverton with his wife Melissa.
