NAME: Steve Turner
SCHOOL: North Medford
BIO: Coach Turner graduated from Capuchino High School in San Bruno California in 1972. He attended and graduated from Willamette University in 1976. Coach Turner was a four year Letterman and a three time all-conference defensive end for the Bearcats.
As a coach, he began at Cascade High School for the 1976 season. Since then, Coach Turner has coached at Rainier High School, North Medford High School, Crook County High School, and Mountain View High School before his returning to Cascade in 2012. In 2018 he took over the North Medford football program and in his three years at the helm, Turner guided North Medford to a 15-12 record and as far as the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs in 2019. Coach Turner has been a part of three State Championship teams: Cascade in 1980, North Medford in 1993, and Mountain View in 2011.
Steve has been married to Mary since 1988. They have two sons, Robert and John.
