Coach Guenther just finished his 20th year of coaching and 9th year as head coach at Wilsonville High School. Most recently, Guenther led the Wildcats to an NWOC Championship and a State Final appearance in 2018. Guenther is a three-time NWOC Coach of the Year and this will be his third time coaching in the Les Schwab Tires Bowl All-Star game. His teams have made the playoffs all nine years amassing an 80-24 record (three quarterfinals, two semi-finals, two state-finals). Guenther was an All-State center in Great Falls, Montana and played in that states East-West Shrine Game. Following high school, Guenther played linebacker for legendary coach Tom Smythe at Lewis & Clark College. Guenther currently teaches and lives in Wilsonville with his wife Carey, daughter Peyton (graduating this year and will be attending Oregon State), son Colby (junior) and their dog “Buddy”.
