Joe Bushman

NAME: Joe Bushman

SCHOOL: Clackamas

BIO: Coach Bushman has coached football for 20 seasons, including the last 13 at Clackamas. After successful head coaching stints at Central Catholic (1998-2002) and Lakeridge (2003-2004), he took over as the head coach at Clackamas in 2006. Coach Bushman has been named conference Coach of the Year four times – 2000, 2002 (Mt. Hood Conference), 2003 (Three Rivers League), and 2017 (Mt. Hood Conference). In 2017 he was also named 6A State Co-Coach of the Year, after leading Clackamas to an undefeated state championship season. As a player, Bushman played in the 1989 Shrine Game, representing the North and Benson High School. He led Benson to an undefeated state championship season – the last P.I.L team to win a football state championship. The Les Schwab Tires Bowl won’t be the last time Coach Bushman gets to coach his son Jake, as will be starting his first season as offensive coordinator for the Lewis and Clark College Pioneers in the fall. He resides in Happy Valley with his wife Shannon and their family.
