Coach Tomlin was a walk on free safety at the University of Oregon from 1997-2000 before transferring to Portland State in 2000. He graduated with a degree in public health in 2001. Tomlin began coaching football in the fall of 2001 at West Salem High School. From 2002-2005 he was a DB coach and Special Teams coordinator at Sprague High School. He helped then win the State Title in 2004. The next several years he spent time at Lebanon and Wilsonville before ending up at Newberg High School in 2008. After one year as the Freshman Defensive Coordinator, Tomlin became the Varsity Head Coach, where he has been for the last seven years. He has been married to his beautiful wife Kristin Lee for 12 years and they have three children, Landon Ryker, Brady Lee, and Everly Jo.
